Fellowship Joint Group Weekend Annual Trip

Furness & South Lakeland and Lancaster groups.


Two Coaches, one from Barrow & one from Lancaster started out at 8am. on Friday 29 th. April to go to Washington County Durham.

The Coaches made there way to Penrith Rugby Club where they met for a pit stop with Bacon Buns & Coffee.

 

       

 

They then carried on to Barnard Castle for short stay & Lunch.

 



We arrived at the Holiday Inn Washington about 4-30pm in plenty of time for Dinner at 6-30pm.

 

In the evening we were invited to the Lodge in Chester-le Street where we were well received with a room & entertainment being provided for us. It turned out to be a very enjoyable night for which everyone showed their appreciation. While we were there we were given a conducted tour of the building. With a number of the wives being Lady Masons they explained there ceremonies & involvement in the craft & chapter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


On the Saturday a trip was arranged to Alnwick Castle & Gardens.

      


Saturday evening we were again invited back to the Lodge for a Quiz night. The Labours of the day being ended we thanked our hosts for their excellent friendship & hospitality.

 


 

Sunday was taken up by a Coach trip around the North East coast.

 

    

 


 

 

On the Monday we called at the City of Durham visiting the Cathedral.

 

Arriving home at approx 7pm.
